Punta Gorda is resilient!
We are reaching out to let you know that we are safe, and overall Punta Gorda sustained minimal damage in comparison with some of our neighboring communities. We put together a video yesterday to let you know what’s happening in our area.
Tips for Homeowners
For all of our friends who are local, please be aware that there are some companies who may try to take advantage of peoples’ situations. We have had reports of roofing and screen companies door-knocking and calling those who have sustained damage and are claiming that new roofs are needed and are price gauging for screens and other services.
Please be sure to get a second opinion or quote prior to committing to someone who solicits your business!
Additionally, be sure to open doors and windows to ventilate your property if the power is out – this can help to prevent mold growth!
