Meet Cary
Cary Stewart brings a unique blend of compassion, dedication, and professionalism to her real estate career in Southwest Florida. Originally from the Midwest, Cary spent over 31 years in healthcare, including 22 years as a Nurse Practitioner. After retiring from the industry, she followed her heart—and her bucket list—and moved to Punta Gorda, Florida.
A lifelong dog lover and proud greyhound owner, Cary found instant community and connection in Burnt Store Marina, where she moved in 2017. Her deep ties to the area, along with her entrepreneurial spirit, led her to invest in her first Florida rental property in 2011. After settling in she launched a successful pet sitting and dog walking business serving the Burnt Store Corridor, Burnt Store Isles (BSI), and Punta Gorda Isles (PGI).
When the pandemic slowed her pet care business, Cary pivoted into real estate—a natural transition fueled by her knowledge of the local market, commitment to service, and eye for detail, and subsequently invested in several of the area communities.
Today, we're excited to have Cary as part of the Calenda Real Estate Group. Since obtaining her real estate license in 2020, Cary’s resourcefulness, market knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond for her clients has led to $25+ million in sales.
Outside of real estate, Cary is active in the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, where she sings in the choir and volunteers at community festivals. She is also involved with greyhound charities and enjoys training her dogs, walking the neighborhood, and playing competitive pickleball.
