PicklePlex of Punta Gorda is officially open! The ribbon cutting took place on June 24th, officially opening the first 16 courts. Over the last several years, PickleBall has become tremendously popular in Punta Gorda, and residents are excited to have new courts to play on. Players are even driving from Fort Myers to play on our new courts. Plans for the second phase are still in the works, which will include a 40,000 sqft building housing 8 indoor courts, a pro-shop, restaurant and bar. The city expects a great economic impact from visitors who will come here to participate in tournaments.
The courts are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and is located at 26300 Airport Rd., Punta Gorda.

“Tails From The Harbor”
An awesome new mural was just dedicated on June 20th by the Punta Gorda Mural Society. Artist Skip Dyrda completed the masterpiece last month, which showcases our local wildlife such as turtles, rays, schools of fish, and birds. We encourage you to come visit this tribute to our town, which is located under the Tamiami bridge nearest Hurricane Charley’s.
Learn more about this great piece on the Punta Gorda Mural Society Website.
