We’ve Moved!

After 20 years in real estate sales, we thought it was time to open our own real estate brokerage! 

 We opened Calenda Real Estate Group a few weeks ago and took advantage of the slower pace in July to gear up for our new endeavor. 

We are strategically located at the gateway to the growing Burnt Store Corridor, and Punta Gorda, in the Madrid Professional Plaza, (adjacent to the Burnt Store Publix Plaza). 

We are excited about introducing the new marketing materials and programs we have developed that will be of significant benefit to our clients. We are pleased to report that we have already generated numerous new listings and the successful negotiation of several new contracts since opening!

Affordable Senior Housing Planned

City Council recently approved a low interest loan of $340,000 to help support a new project for affordable senior housing in Punta Gorda. The proposed project is called The Verandas III, and would be located adjacent to the The Verandas I & II, at 24500 Airport Road. The Verandas III would provide 20 one-bedroom units, 22 two bedroom units, and 14 three bedroom units. The application to Florida Housing will be submitted by November, and if all goes well, the groundbreaking could take place in 2022.
This would help to fill a tremendous need for affordable housing in Charlotte County, and we will keep an eye on this project as it progresses.
